STRUCTURE

The master programme structure provides a progressive and fluid learning to the students, based on a solid and broad background knowledge, merging the course main topics, in order to create a transdisciplinary perspective of problems and solutions, in the water sector.

MAEH offers a large number of optional courses in the first semester aiming at homogenising the knowledge of students with different thematic background. It also provides fundamental principles of hydrology and ecohydrology.
The course MAEH webinar is offered in each semester, but each edition has a different thematic focus with guest speakers from the UNESCO water family and the world of work. It is mandatory that you select this course at least one time in semester 1, 2 or 3 . The applied practical field and laboratory training will take place partly at the University of Algarve and partly at the European Regional Centre for Ecohydrology, in Lodz, Poland, an associated partner to the University of Lodz, at the end of the first semester.

You can do your Master dissertation including internship at any of the partner universities or in collaboration with associated partners of the consortium; depending on your interest for the different research topics. The elective course Integrated Water Management: Case River 21 can only be selected if you will do your Master thesis at the University of Antwerp.
